A Green Light for Jesus in the Red Light District

Last year, before FMI’s mission trip to Indonesia, Pastor Mary Pat had a vision of herself and another team member walking through a red light district – an urban area with a large concentration of brothels and prostitutes. When God provided an open door for the 2011 mission team to visit Singapore for one day, they briefly visited and ministered in the city’s red light district called Geylang. This turned out to be a divine appointment, as when the team returned this year, God had much more in store!

The evening we arrived in Singapore, our team met up with our pastor contacts who showed us a few places around the city as we got more acquainted with each other. We mentioned our brief time in Geylang last year, and our pastor contact offered to drive us there. When we reached the red light district, our contacts were shocked at what they saw – scores of streets full of brothels; girls on the street much younger than anyone expected. One contact told us he had never been to Geylang before – no missionary or church parishioner had ever requested to go!

We spoke about God’s heart for those caught up in so much darkness in this district. As we prayed for freedom for those caught in darkness, and for God’s plan for Geylang, our hearts were touched even more with the love of God for these precious ones. Our Singapore friends were also deeply moved, and this simple drive through Geylang sparked much discussion and visioning for the remainder of the trip about how the church could work together to bring the Kingdom of Heaven to Geylang.

Two days later, on our last night in beautiful Singapore, we headed down to Geylang to minister on the streets. We were connected with a wonderful woman who has devoted her life to ministering to the prostitutes and pimps in Geylang. As we walked through the district together, God opened up many doors for our team to minister to the prostitutes and pimps on the streets. Pastor Mary Pat and Michelle spoke with one precious woman who, at three months pregnant, was still “taking clients” to survive. As we shared much about Father God’s loving heart with her, she opened up her heart to us in return. Pastor Mary Pat gave her a prophetic word from Father’s heart, and as she hugged and prayed for this precious one, tears streamed down the young lady’s face as she realized how much she was loved and treasured by her Heavenly Father.

We were also divinely connected with another woman of the streets who was in the midst of a dire situation. Led to her tiny brothel room by a friend of our ministry contact, we were hurriedly escorted in. In this dark, dank place of bondage, the light of Jesus broke through! The prostitute we were brought to see was in the midst of cutting herself – saddened and tormented by many things including the suicide death of her own sister a few days ago. But praise be to God that His love is stronger than death! As Holy Spirit led, our team was able to minister the powerful love of God to this young lady, her friend, and even her “boyfriend.” At one point, she exclaimed that God had saved her life that night, as she was planning on killing herself. Pastor Mary Pat shared that God had brought us from so far away just to come see her this night. Praise the Lord for His freedom and life breaking through!

We continued to minister in the red light district until nearly 4 am – sharing the Gospel, Father’s love, and praying for everyone Holy Spirit led us to. We know God has a big plan for this part of Singapore that has been overlooked by society and even much of the church. We look forward to what the future holds!

Revelation of Father’s Love

Pastor Bill and Troy went to City Centre Church’s west branch this
morning to minister. Pastor Bill preached about the authenticity of
God’s love for us and His desire that we draw into Jesus’ heart. Using
the examples of Mary in Cana and the encounter Jesus had with the
Syrophonician woman, Pastor Bill shared the love of the Father and the
Son that led to miracles being performed and lives being transformed.
It is for freedom that Jesus set us free, not to walk in condemnation
from the enemy or ourselves.

People began to cry and respond to the
love of the Father as Pastor Bill sang over them and prayed for their
hearts to be touched, even the lead pastor was sharing how the message
touched his heart.

Glory to Jesus on This Palm Sunday!

Our team again split into two, to minister at two different branches
of a church. Pastor Mary Pat and Michelle headed to the City Centre’s
downtown branch. We were thrilled to learn that this church is also
involved in missions, church planting, and raising up pastors in other
nations. Pastor Mary Pat shared a powerful message on the account of
Palm Sunday in the Bible, and those in the very front of the crowds
who had the best view of Jesus as He walked past. Hearts were deeply
stirred as she shared about living on the “front lines” as radical
on-fire believers.

Almost the entire congregation came up for the alter call to receive
more of Holy Spirit and prayer for healing. One man with an injured
leg and eye and heart problems went down in the Spirit and was weeping
as God touched his heart and healed his body. Another man who had had
a nerve problem for 10 years testified that as Pastor Mary Pat prayed
for him, he felt power in his legs and some of the pain relieved!
Michelle prayed for a couple of young ladies, releasing prophetic
words of destiny, and also had a word of knowledge that one of them
regarding asthma – which she had indeed been afflicted with for the
past five years! Healing power was released and we believe she is
completely healed! God is so amazing!

Outpouring on the Youth!

Saturday night, our team was invited to minister at a youth gathering
that meets in an upper room at a local mall. The room was packed with
youth, ages 14 to 20. During the youth-led worship, Michelle had an
angelic vision involving angels releasing God’s peace, drawing the
youth into greater intimacy with the Father, also sensing God wanted
to heal some of depression. Troy and Michelle also shared healing
testimonies from Indonesia, encouraging the group’s faith.

Pastor Mary Pat shared two specific words from Holy Spirit for the
group, pertaining to God releasing his fire of evangelism. She led
the youth in an activation, first prophesying over one girl that she
had a healing annointing, and then inviting her up to the front to
activate this word by praying for someone in the group who was sick.
When she asked if anyone in the group was sick, at first no one raised
their hand. She then had a word of knowledge for a boy sitting toward
the back, that he had a cough – which turned out to be true! He was
in the military, and had a cough for the past month that he couldn’t
shake. He came forward, and the girl prayed for his healing. His
cough got better, and he even testified a day later that his cough was
still better. Then Pastor Mary Pat, Troy, and Michelle started
prophesying over a number of individuals in the group, giving many
specific words. Tears rolled down many of the youth’s faces as they
received these encouraging and loving words over their lives.

Pastor Bill then imparted more of Father’s heart, specifically
addressing the issue of performance – and how we don’t need to strive
to try to please our Heavenly Father, or feel like we’re walking on a
tight rope. Father God is not angry or condemning! This really
resonated with many of the youth. We then went into a time of
ministry – Pastor Bill singing a song he wrote entitled Zephaniah 3 -
all about how the Father loves us and sings over us. Many youth came
forward to receive prayer and prophetic words, and the Holy Spirit
moved in great power – deeply touching many with the fire of God.
When a call was given for those who want to be involved in missions -
a number of youth indicated that God was stirring their hearts in this
manner. We believe many from this group are being sent out into
Singapore and beyond to spread the Kingdom! The meeting lasted almost
5 hours – ending with another powerful time of worshiping our King!

Arrival in Singapore

We were sad to leave our dear friends in Jakarta, but knew the Lord
had plans in store for the team in another nation, so we boarded a
plane and headed for Singapore. We were greeted by our contact here -
the senior pastor of City Center church, right in the heart of
Singapore. We greatly enjoyed connecting with him, his family, and
other pastors, and are beyond excited to minister in the beautiful
city!

Impartation for Church Leaders

Our meeting with the staff and leaders of Menorah Church was powerful.
Many received revelation from the Lord as Pastor Bill shared about how
it is the Father’s good pleasure to partner with us and that the
Father enjoys breathing life into our dreams and seeing us step out in
faith with Holy Spirit guiding us. A servant is too busy doing things
to hear the heart of Jesus, yet a son will always be listening to His
voice. Pastor Mary Pat exhorted them that strength without full
dependence on God leads to stagnant faith, but His perfect love casts
out all fear. Our dear friends poured to the front calling out their
desire to receive all the Lord has for them, His very best. Many were
touched as Pastor Bill sang and Pastor Mary Pat prayed over them.

Healing Explosion — Fire of God Released!

The Spirit of God poured over the crowd as we met in a good friend’s
home for a meeting. Pastor Mary Pat called on those present to enter
in to the Lord’s Presence even as John heard the voice of the Lord
saying, “Come up here” in the book of Revelation. As the bride hungers
after the Lord’s Presence, the Lord comes so near and call us to be
brought into His Glory. Pastor Bill imparted the Father’s heart,
declaring that the best servant of God is actually the best
son/daughter. As Pastor Bill began to minister through song, the Holy
Spirit released a word of knowledge through Michelle and Troy that God
desired to bring healing to knees and specifically to those with
problems in their left knee. Five people came forward for prayer, two
with left knee problems only and three with both knees affected. As
they received prayer and were encouraged to run to the door and back,
each one testified that the Lord had touched them and brought healing.
Another person testified that they felt the fire of God on their back
and bent over to demonstrate that they were fully healed! Five people
with pain in their stomach/intestinal region declared the goodness of
the Lord Five came forward for throat problems and Jesus set them
free too. Then, the Holy Spirit led Pastor Mary Pat to pray over each
person present. The power of God was still moving mightily as people
began to weep and be overwhelmed with the Spirit. One man testified
that he didn’t come forward for the healing prayer because he was
feeling very shy, but God knew his need. He testified later that when
Pastor Mary Pat laid hands on him for an increase of Holy Spirit in
his life, he was healed from a leg problem even though he had not
asked for that. It was so wonderful to see the healing power of Jesus
sweep through that meeting and touch all who called in Him!

Church As Usual…I Think Not

Joining our dear friends at Menorah Church here in Jakarta is always such a blessing, especially immediately following our “Kingdom Invasion” conference. After worship, Pastor Mary Pat shared an intense word exhorting all to see how our good God works through generational alignment to produce great blessings in our lives and in our churches. She concluded with the truth that Jesus came to remove all lack (curses) from our lives through the finished work on the cross.

Pastor Bill encouraged the people that they, like the early church, can flourish and see revival come even with the very real persecutions present in this predominantly Muslim nation. He encouraged them to keep their light bright by receiving from Holy Spirit, not by their own efforts at becoming spiritual. This happens and is very powerful as we learn to become sons and daughter of our heavenly Father.

As Pastor Bill began to minister through song, Pastor Mary Pat called the people forward to receive the good gifts of the Lord and to repent of any striving involved. People flooded the altar and many were powerfully and visibly touched by the Lord…some were weeping, some were shaking, some were unable to even stand in the Lord’s Presence. People were healed as they worshipped the Lord and the Glory of the Lord was poured out.

At the end, Pastor Bill came down from the stage and shared a vision that he had just received. He saw a cloud of Glory on top of the church building and suddenly this cloud started launching Holy Spirit “missiles” into the church. The missiles were hitting targets located on the hearts of the people who were truly hungry for the Lord’s Glory, tracking them down throughout the building.

Unbeknownst to Pastor Bill, Pastor Mary Pat had a very similar vision that morning. She saw people with targets on their hearts and the enemy had been putting holes in them, but then she saw the Glory of the Lord covering those holes and repairing all that the enemy had done.

Thank You, Lord, for pouring our Your Glory today!

“Kingdom Invasion” Conference — Session 4 — “Freedom in the Glory”

With the momentum and progression of the conference thus far, it was
easy to expect the Lord to blow everyone away during the last session
entitled “Freedom in the Glory.” We began with Troy and Michelle
sharing more testimonies of healings and deliverances from previous
sessions to increase the faith level in the room. Pastor Mary Pat
shared a power-packed message on living and moving as supernatural
beings, being completely free in the presence of God. Pastor Bill
then got up to speak, declaring it was “a new day” where we must
recognize God’s desire for us to partner with Him, rather than being
merely servants.

Pastor Mary Pat gave powerful a salvation call. A number of people
stood up and prayed to receive Jesus into their hearts – including one
special Muslim woman, who came from an all-Muslim family. This woman
sat in a wheelchair, front and center. When the Gospel
was preached, she was one of the first to raise her hands to receive
Jesus! Later, after receiving prayer for healing, she stood up out of
her wheelchair and began taking small steps with assistance. A bit
later, she was walking up and down the center aisle, receiving
applause from many in the crowd. She testified that she felt power
surge through her body, and that she knew it was Jesus who was healing
her. She said she no longer wanted to use her wheelchair, but wanted
to walk out her healing – literally. Praise the Lord!

After the salvation call, Pastor Mary Pat then called forward anyone who wanted more of the glory of God. His presence swept through theroom so strongly, nearly everyone who had hands laid on them went down
under the power. Many were weeping and shaking as the glory of God filled the room. There was a powerful prophetic release and many received prophetic words over their lives. There was also an alter
call for anyone who felt a call to evangelism. Scores of people, young and old, flocked to the front, visibly moved by Holy Spirit to reach out to the lost. Unable to read clearly due to cataracts, one lady went down under the power of God. When she got up, someone pulled up the Bible on their ipad and offered for her to read it after then made the font SMALLER. The woman read the Bible passage and testified to receiving her healing from Jesus! Yay God! For two years, one man had suffered with a painful cyst/growth on his side. After prayer, he gave glory to God as all the pain had disappeared. We are so thankful for all that God accomplished over the course of the “Kingdom Invasion” conference! To God be the Glory!!

“Kingdom Invasion” Conference — Session 3 — “Kingdom Business”

Over the years, Frontline Ministries International has seen an expansion of its business and marketplace ministry, both locally through business-based training offerings within Frontline Training Center, and also internationally, through invitations to speak to groups involved in the business sector, as well at other marketplace-themed teaching engagements. We were so excited to see all that God would do during the Kingdom Business session. On the way to the church that morning, the team prayed for the session. Michelle saw a vision of angels with large golden trumpets that were releasing a new sound from Heaven over those in attendance.

With a number of business people in attendance, Pastor Mary Pat shared both Old and New Testament teaching, including practical ways to be led by the Holy Spirit in marketplace ventures, as well as an impartation on the generational aspects of business and family relationships based on the accounts of David and Solomon. She also shared fresh manna regarding the “older brother” in Jesus’ parable of the prodigal son, and how if we do not value our inheritance from the Father, and miss the importance of the presence of God, we can risk missing some of God’s purpose for His Kingdom through our lives in the realm of business. Pastor Bill shared a powerful message, challenging us all to inquire the following of ourselves: are we willing to submit our own kingdom we may be building fully to His Kingdom. He also shared about the importance of godly counsel and Holy Spirit leading in order to fully abide in God’s truth, especially in the realm of making business decisions, sharing aspects of the accounts of Nebuchadnezzar’s life as well as the rich young ruler parable in Mark 12.

By word of knowledge, Michelle called people forward for healing from intestinal/stomach problems, especially those caused by anxiety. Three people testified that their stomach pain went away after receiving prayer. The Lord healed an injured elbow as a woman went down under the power of Holy Spirit. Three men with diabetes experienced a touch from Heaven as the fire of God touched them. Another man with joint pain and high uric acid levels testified that he felt the power of God touching him on the inside. Many received an impartation of anointing for operating in business with a Kingdom mindset and strategy. All in all, it was a glorious session.
