This morning, Pastor Mary Pat, Troy, and Carly headed for the hills with Pastor Deva, Suneetha, Pastor Prabaka, his son Cherry, and 3 of our Frontline children: Ashok, Manoj, and Prem. Winding roads took us up to the remote mountain village of Khackiwadi Ghandi. Life is much quieter and slower paced here, a drastic contrast from the honking horns and bustling streets of the city. We visited 3 churches and God demonstrated the power of His love in each one!
At the first church, Pastor Mary Pat shared Mel Tari’s testimony, about growing up in a remote Indonesian village, and being lit on fire by the power of the Holy Spirit. He began spreading the Gospel to nearby villages, witnessing incredible miracles, and is now an international evangelist. Pastor Mary Pat shared that God wants to use these people same way if they are willing to follow Him at any cost! Four people prayed to receive Jesus and the whole church cried out for an encounter with the Holy Spirit. Two women were healed of knee pain, 1 was healed of kidney and knee pain that she had suffered from for 2 years, another woman was healed of headaches and a fever that she had for 4 months, and another was healed of pain in her side that she had since being pregnant with her now one-year old child.
We moved on to the next gathering, which was being held in an open air pavilion. Pastor Mary Pat shared about God’s desire to speak to His children and the importance of resting before Him to hear His voice. She invited everyone to lay down and ask God to speak to them. Their “soaking” music was the sound of roosters crowing, dogs barking, and chicks chirping, as if all of creation was crying out in worship to their Creator! We asked if anyone saw or heard anything, and the pastor’s wife testified that she saw a vision of water flowing out of pipes in the ground, which she believed represented the Holy Spirit. We prayed for healing, and 5 women were healed of stomach pain, and another was healed of back pain. A man named Pastor Paul then came up for prayer. He told us he had a hard mass in his stomach for 10 years, and during prayer, he felt movement in his stomach and felt that the mass was softer than before! We are looking forward to hearing the testimony of it being completely dissolved.
At the third church, Pastor Mary Pat released a word about our identity in Christ, God’s faithfulness, and giving ourselves as living sacrifices for Jesus. A woman gave her life to Jesus and many were touched by the power of the Holy Spirit. One woman and one of the young men from our children’s home, Ashok, prayed out in a heavenly language for the first time! 2 people were healed of pain in their heels, and a pain left a woman who had burns on the bottom of her feet. Pastor Mary Pat also had the opportunity to pray for the village chief who had been healed and prayed to receive Jesus last year with Pastor Bill. We know that God has even more great things in store for this village and expect to hear many testimonies as God continues to move there!
While driving home, the van that we were in was so full of the glory and presence of God. As we talked about what took place that day, 2 more of our Frontline children and one of the pastor’s sons began to glorify God with a new heavenly language! Thank You, Holy Spirit, for touching all of us today!!
