Mongulu Village Outreach

Our first night here in Chillakallu we headed out to a nearby village – we were told it was a small village, only about 15,000 people.  We were planning to show the Jesus Film in Telagu, the local language, and went out beforehand to invite people to join us. With our translators we visited several homes and prayed for a number of people who were sick before heading back to the church to start the movie.  The screen was put up in front of the church building with a tarp covering half the road rerouting traffic around us.  Children and women filled the tarp and many men lined the opposite side of the road.  By the time the movie was underway there were several hundred people watching.  Halfway through the film there was a pause for ministry time.  Our team sang together – releasing the glory of God – and Pastor Bill preached the gospel to the crowd.  During the call for salvation many came forward and gave their lives to Jesus!  Pastor Mary Pat then shared the heart of the Lord regarding healing and had the people place their hand on the part of their body that was sick or in pain.  After ministry time we finished out the Jesus film and several other Hindus gave their hearts to the Lord, many others swarmed team members wanting prayer.  It was a good way to start our trip!
