Soaking at the Sewing Micro Enterprise

Pastor Mary Pat, Amy and Deanne returned to the sewing class for another morning of ministry.  Because of some challenges women in India face, Pastor Mary Pat focused heavily on the lovingkindess of Father God, sharing that He is not harsh in any way nor will He force us to do anything against our will.  Our hope for morning ministry was that these ladies would embrace the heart of the Father and be empowered to resist anything that does not match up with Him.  Amy and Deanne shared with them regarding purity and encouraged them to trust God and focus on Him at this point in their lives.  Since we had invested so much in these women regarding experiencing God’s love, we took advantage of the opportunity to practice just that!  The ladies all found a spot on the floor and rested for a little while, soaking up the presence of God and receiving what He has for them.  Afterwards we heard that one of the girls had seen a picture of the cross during her soaking time!  One of the women in the room hadn’t been with us for the first two days of sharing, she was a Hindu woman who had heard the testimony of Vijayalakshmi, the deaf/mute girl who had been healed earlier in our trip.  This woman brought her son with her, who was suffering from a number of mental and physical issues.  Pastor Mary Pat shared the gospel with the mother and she gave her life to Jesus! We spent as much time with the little boy as we could, praying that God would bring total freedom to his mind and body.  The boy settled down as we prayed, and we are expecting to hear great reports of his complete healing in the days to come!
